A blog on the race for Mississippi's First Congressional District Seat
Man, I'm so glad this blog is so neutral. Shouldn't the name on this site include Greg's?
The notion that Travis Childers was born into a "privileged" life is laughable.
Glad to know noone reads this site, considering how slanted it has become.
Hope nobody has let these guys keep you from posting new stuff. Room for everybody on here. This is newsworthy and needs to get out:TRAVIS CHILDERS GETS ELECTION DAY GIFT FROM SEN. BARACK OBAMA Jackson, Miss – After weeks of campaigning as a “conservative Democrat” for Mississippi’s First Congressional District, Prentiss County Chancery Clerk Travis Childers was today endorsed by Sen. Barack Obama, who was named the most liberal member of the U.S. Senate by nonpartisan National Journal magazine in 2007. “It’s odd that Mr. Childers waited until Election Day to show his true colors,” said Mississippi Republican Party Executive Director Brad White. “They say you can judge a man by the company he keeps. First Childers gives money to John Kerry and then he gets endorsed by Barack Obama- I wonder what other friends he has waiting behind the curtain. I guess this goes a long way to show what kind of representative Mr. Childers will be for folks in North Mississippi.” Similarly, in 2003, Sen. John Kerry was named the most liberal member of the U.S. Senate by National Journal magazine, shortly before he became the Democratic nominee for President. Childers gave $2,000 to Kerry in 2004. Sen. Obama’s endorsement came in the form of an email to supporters Tuesday.
