Debate?

The Monroe County Republican Party is working on a debate for all four candidates: one segment with Republicans and one segment with Democrats. The proposed date is Thursday March 20, 2008 at the Elkin Theatre in downtown Aberdeen. The Stennis Institute of Government at Mississippi State has agreed to help with this event as the moderator. The Debate between McCullough and Davis is a go!!!
This is a press release for the 1st Congressional Debate to be held in Aberdeen. The event is sponsored by the Monroe County Republican Committee and the Stennis Institute of Government at Mississippi State University. The debate is to be held at the Elkin Theatre in downtown Aberdeen. The doors will open at 6:30 for a candidate meet and greet with the debate starting promptly at 7:00. All are invited to attend and admission is free. *The Democratic candidates were invited but refused to debate. We proposed a two stage debate with the Republicans in one segment and the Democrats in a separate segment with position to be decided by a coin toss. It is our intention to try to sponsor two more debates in the months to come, between the 1st congressional candidates and the other being a Senatorial debate.
